Competition Team Auditions - September 11, 12 & 13
We are looking for passionate dancers interested in competing in:
Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop
Please send us your name and the style(s) of dance you are interested in competing in. We will send you details about our with your audition date and time.
Boys only class
B-Boy Fitness
Does your son play sports (soccer, hockey etc)
Workout, gain strength & learn to dance at the same time.
OGFitness class is for athletes who want to learn some rhythm.

SUMMER @ PMDS
Summer with us are the perfect way for children to learn about the different styles of dance, make new friends, and create lasting memories & more!
Look out for Drop-In Theme Nights which will be weekly themes, learn the routine inspired by that theme.
Classes are open to ages 2 years old +, our combo classes will be a weekly rotation of different styles.
Camp is open to ages 3-14 years old with or without dance experience, many levels, beginner to advance.
Summer Intensive is for competitive dancers and those who want to join our competition team. For ages 4 to 16 years old. You will meet different teachers from different styles, learn about health, how to eat better, guest speakers and more!
About Us
P & M School of Dance was created in 1996 by sisters Paula and Marianne Birch, now called Pure Motion Dance Studio (PMDS). For over 29 years we have been training dancers recreationally & competitively.
Classes are available from 2 years old to adults; all levels from beginner to advanced to professional. The studio offers quality bilingual instruction with approximately 10 students in a class with 1 teacher and 1 demonstrator. Our small classes gives each child the attention they deserve, and a chance to develop at their own pace. Students need to be comfortable with their bodies to encourage them to adapt to their own style and rhythm of dancing while having fun.
Throughout the year from September to December, the children learn a dance which they present on demonstration for parents.
From February to May a choreography is created for the recital which is held every year in June in a formal establishment.
Competition Team
Pure Motion started to compete in 1998. The team is for dedicated students who are advanced and exceed in a specific style of dance, starting from 4 years old and up.
Once a student is chosen to be on the team, the student will go through intensive weekly training and participate in Regional and National Competitions throughout Canada and the United States, as well as performing in benefit shows and special events for the community.
Our Staff
Pure Motion is proud of there teachers, they have worked hard to get where they are. Our Staff is enthusiastic, energetic, encouraging and are great role models. They always bring out the best in their students. They are dedicated individuals who take the art seriously, but their education does not stop here.
Our teachers take courses and workshops to learn and enhance proper teaching techniques, up-to-date choreography, discipline approaches and instructional strategies. Friendly and safe environment for students to learn and this is done with patience, friendliness, encouragement and passion!
